   downsides to drumming: its expensive compared to other instruments. a guitar may cost you a few hundred but a full drumset will probably run you around 1000. you can go cheaper, obvisouly, but something to keep in mind. also, you will find trouble when playing them if you live in a townhouse or apartment.
   to play them, its just all about listening to music and playing along. you can go online and watch tutorials or learn drum rudiments, but for the most part, you can self teach yourself by listening to and playing along with songs.
   ps, i can teach you drums if you live near northwest IN
